Choosing a time

I'm deciding between two start times, and I'd love your input:

Option A
2:45 – 4:00 pm
So Irvington girls can walk over together after school.
Option B
4:00 – 5:15 pm
So a high-school student from Grant could join us.

If Mondays are tough for you but you're genuinely interested, let me know — it may be possible to change days if that's the group's preference.

How often we'll meet

We meet weekly — every Monday that Portland Public Schools is in session, starting September 14th. There may be some weeks when I'm away, and I'll let you know about those as early as possible. If I'm sick or have to cancel, I'll provide a refund.

A note on commitment

My dream is for the cohort to stay together for a whole year — or longer — so I encourage you to keep that in mind when signing up. That said, if the fit isn't right, I don't want anyone to feel pressured to continue; there's no commitment required. If a girl stops attending for a month, her spot may be offered to someone else.

I'm always happy to answer questions. If you're seriously interested and want to weigh in on scheduling, please reach out soon!

A typical gathering

What an Example Meeting looks like

Each meeting follows a gentle rhythm — a sample sequence:

  1. Gather for a snack and an optional silly drawing prompt
  2. Welcome circle and ice-breaker game
  3. Team-building challenge
  4. Discussion reflecting on the challenge
  5. Free time for drawing, journaling, or playing
  6. Closing circle
